Pillar one

Where art lives, kindness travels.

Gene began on the stage, the Old Vic, off-Broadway, summer stock. His training as a theatre actor shaped every comedy he ever made. The legacy honors that root by supporting the kind of places and people who shaped him.

This pillar funds independent theatres, arts education programs, and emerging artists through screenings, limited-edition releases, and partnerships with cinema and arts institutions.

How we’re doing it.

Initiative

Young Frankenstein charity screenings

Annual and semi-annual screenings hosted with independent theaters, historic cinemas, and university film societies. Proceeds benefit local arts education and historic theater preservation funds.

Initiative

The Wilder Palette print series

Limited museum-quality prints of Gene’s paintings, photographed by Beowulf Sheehan. A portion of every print directly supports our arts partners.

Initiative

Emerging artist program

Through partnerships and creative competitions, like our first Comic Book Artist competition won by Skye Hazel, we showcase and support new artists in Gene’s name.

“Comedy is not pretty. But it’s real. And real is the most beautiful thing there is.”

Gene Wilder

Help fund the arts in Gene’s name.

Every gift, every print, every ticket goes to keeping independent theatres open and young artists making.
