"Another You" is a comedy film in which Gene Wilder played the role of George, a man who befriends a compulsive liar played by Richard Pryor. Wilder's performance showcased his ability to create a sympathetic and likable character while delivering comedic moments.
With Peter Bogdanovich completely distracted, the production was doomed and Gene put in his usual 110% without much reward. With Richard Pryor unwell throughout the entire production, Gene Wilder was left to carry practically every scene in the film.
Karen Wilder: After "Funny About Love" the experience of "Another You" was too much and Gene was going to need some serious convincing to make a return to feature films. Adam Sandler tried to bring him back for The Waterboy, as the Coach, but Gene said "no thank you" to him without regret.
