The Producers

ROLE: Leo Bloom

"The Producers" is a comedy (classic) film directed by Mel Brooks, in which Gene Wilder played the role of Leo Bloom, a neurotic accountant who teams up with a washed-up Broadway producer to stage a guaranteed flop in order to scam money. Wilder's portrayal of Leo Bloom earned him critical acclaim and established him as a talented comedic actor.

The began the legendary partnership and friendship between Gene Wilder and Mel Brooks.

Gene Wilder received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor and was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Actor for his role as Leo Bloom.
